Workshops: Birthday Parties at the Museum

Since August, on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, the Latvian National Museum of Art has offered a chance for parents to organise birthday parties for children at the museum. Each party starts at the museum’s workshop, after which guests take a short tour of the museum’s exhibits to see paintings, sculptures and drawings. Then the children return to the workshop to create their own artworks.

Please take into account the following requests on the part of the museum:

• Maximum number of participants: 12

• Age: 4-12

• Parents may leave children under the supervision of museum staff;

• Please bring snacks and juice with you;

• Please contact the museum at least two weeks in advance for a birthday party in Latvian, and at least three weeks in advance for a birthday party in English.

The price is LVL 1 per participant, including the entrance fee and the activities; oil chalk will be provided, but please supply the children with snacks and juice yourself;
