In the exhibition of the Latvian National Museum of Art an installation by Andris Brezze dedicated to the war in Ukraine initiated by Russia can be viewed
In 2014, when Russia launched a war against the territorial integrity of Ukraine, Andris Breže created the installation "Introduction to Poultry Farming (Dove of Peace)". The work was presented at the exhibition dedicated to the anniversary of the First World War "1914" in the Exhibition Hall Arsenāls of the Latvian National Museum of Art.
Eight years ago, Andris Breže accurately noticed what has become obvious to the whole world since February 24, 2022, when Russia launched a war against Ukraine.
The annotation to the installation in 2014 said: "Breže created an image that reflects the duplicity, deceitfulness and greed of Russia. The installation combines cultural and historical symbols – a double-headed eagle from the coat of arms of the Russian Empire with the image of the white dove of peace speculatively and widely used in the USSR. In the installation the dove like a predatory eagle, turned into a two-headed monster. These symbols are displayed in a coffinlike showcase filled with oil. In this multi-layered work of art, using metaphors and symbols, the author refers to the history of Russia since the 16th century, when the Orthodox Church formulated the idea of Russia as the "Third Rome", which is still alive. Breže created an emotionally expressive image of ugly and perverted imperial ambitions."

У 2014 році, коли Росія розпочала війну проти територіальної цілісності України, Андріс Бреже створив інсталяцію «Уявлення про птахівництво (Голуб миру)». Робота експонувалася на виставці пам’яті Першої світової війни «1914» у виставковій залі «Арсенал» Латвійського Національного художнього музею.
Ще вісім років тому Андріс Бреже точно передбачив те, що сьогодні весь світ нарешті зрозумів, оскільки 24 лютого 2022 року Росія розпочала війну в Україні.
У анотації інсталяції вже у 2014 році було сказано: «Бреже створив образ, який характеризує лицемірство, брехню і жадібність Росії. Інсталяція поєднує культурно-історичні символи – герб царської Росії з двоголовим орлом та білим голубом миру, якого спекулятивно використовували в Радянському Союзі, який став таким самим бісовим чадом як і двоголовий хижий орел . Ці символи встановлені у вітрині – труні, наповненій нафтою. Сильні метафори у цьому творі створюють багатошаровий художній твір, в якому автор звертається до історичного минулого Росії, коли в 16 столітті Російська православна церква плекала ідею Росії як «Третього Риму», яка як ми бачимо ще живе і досі. Бреже створив емоційно сильний образ збочення і спотворення імперських амбіцій.»
