ICOM Latvian National Committee Recognition

On May 25, at the Latvian Museum Association Year Award Ceremony, the Latvian National Museum of Art (Latvian National Museum of Art, Art Museum RIGA BOURSE, Museum of Decorative Arts and Design, Museum of Romans Suta and Aleksandra Beļcova, and Exhibition Hall ARSENĀLS) was awarded the ICOM Latvian National Committee (ICOM LNK) Recognition for targeted international project implementation to facilitate the recognition of Latvian art abroad and broaden the accessibility of international art in Latvia in 2017 and 2018.

The Latvian National Committee of the International Council of Museums is a public non-governmental volunteer organization that connects the Latvian museums and professional museum employees within the context of professional interests.

ICOM LNK was established in 1993. Until November 2007, ICOM LNK operated as a structural unit of the Latvian Museum Association. On November 14, 2007, ICOM LNK was registered in The Register of Enterprises of the Republic of Latvia as the association “International Council of Museums Latvian National Committee”.
