Venue Hire at the Latvian National Museum of Art

In this section you will find information about venue hire at the Latvian National Museum of Art (Jaņa Rozentāla laukums 1, Riga) for events unrelated to the museum's principal activities.

It is advisable to apply to hire a venue at least one month before the planned event. Venue hire applications are evaluated by the museum's administration, taking into consideration the event's format and its appropriateness to the museum's public image as well as the compatibility of the venue hire proposal with the priorities of the museum's principle activities. At the museum it is possible to organise a variety of private and public events – receptions, ceremonies, banquets and other events. The museum signs a contract with the renter about venue hire, issuing a corresponding invoice. We only offer venues for hire, without technical equipment (sound or lighting equipment etc.) or catering. Information about the building's physical accessibility can be found here.

2nd and 3rd floor vestibule with marble stairs

The majestic central vestibule on the third floor of the historical building with Vilhems Purvītis and Gerhard von Rosen's lunette paintings, marble stairs and art nouveau wrought-metal railings can be considered one of the most sumptuous and architecturally expressive publicly accessible interiors in the Baltic States.

Conference Hall

This space on the 1st floor of the museum is suited and technically equipped with stationary presentation equipment (screen, projector, computer) for conferences, seminaries, meetings, readings and other events.

Capacity: up to 60-80 seats
Hourly rate* (inclusive of VAT): 75.00 EUR

Library

The interior of the historical library of the Latvian National Museum of Art, which has remained unchanged since the early 20th century, shows characteristics of eclecticism and art nouveau. The finishing of the library is dominated by oak (for the columns supporting the upper floor, stairs, railings, doors, bookcases), imbuing the modestly sized space with elegance. The library is suitable for ceremonial or official meetings, compact press conferences and other small-format activities.
