Harmonious Collision

The retrospective exhibition of fashion brand FYODOR GOLAN

Latvian National Museum of Art presents Harmonious Collision, the first retrospective exhibition of the internationally recognized contemporary fashion label FYODOR GOLAN, which will be held at the Museum Storage Facility in Riga (Pulka iela 8) from 14 June to 27 September 2024.

The exhibition is the first retrospective show of the internationally acclaimed contemporary fashion duo FYODOR GOLAN. The brand was established in London in 2009 by the designers Fyodor Podgorny (Latvia) and Golan Frydman (Israel). The story of this exhibition is told from Fyodor’s personal perspective and experience.

The exhibition takes place at the Museum Storage Facility. In a specially created site-specific environment, more than 120 designs from the collections showcased at the London Fashion Week as well as accompanying accessories and objects of curiosity interlace with the artworks and objects from the collections of the Latvian National Museum of Art and other museums.

The exuberant aesthetics of FYODOR GOLAN have attracted attention of such celebrities as Madonna, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, and Ariana Grande, whose outfits custom created by the brand will be on display alongside Fyodor’s collaborations with Kristine Opolais, Margarita and Kristine Balanas, Krista Dzudzilo and other Latvian cultural personalities.

This exhibition invites visitors to explore and experience the diversity of concepts, forms, sources of inspiration that make up the creative universe of FYODOR GOLAN and highlight trends and developments in the global contemporary fashion industry.
